Do Tesco sell air fryers
As Britain's largest supermarket, you'll be glad to know Tesco do sell air fryers in-store, with few Tower models made available to buy.
Tesco do sell air fryers within their home appliance section in-store, as Tesco don't sell air flyers on their web site. Models available to buy would primarily be Tower, with an option for a manual or digital air fryer, with the latter being more costly. Air fryers sold in Tesco will only be made available to buy in superstores.
CONTENTS:
Next time you visit Tesco with an idea of buying a low cost air fryer for the first time, or as a replacement - know its a hit or miss at Tesco superstores.
Stock levels do very as it could be a while before you seen them on shelves again.
In anticipation of buying an air fryer, you can visit the electrical appliance aisle where the air fryers are stocked - its here you can evaluate what air fryer to buy next time you are in-store - because you can't by air fryers online at Tesco.
Not much to pay either for a Tower air fryer, and in the air fryer community that is a well respected brand for small kitchen appliances.
Tesco don't charge too much either with the lowest price being around the £35.00 mark for a manual, or £69.00 for what could be their only digital air fryer in-stock.
Fewer than three models of air fryers would be made available to buy, but the only real difference being manual vs digital.
If you feel Tesco could be a wasted shopping trip, I would advice you to visit your nearest Asda, who do in fact sell a wide range of air fryers from both Ninja and Tower, plus additional brands which are sure to provide an affordable air fryer.
Tesco DO sell air fryers
You will be pleased to know Tesco do indeed sell air fryers. It took me a while to find them but you'll be sure to locate their air fryer range within the appliance aisle.
That is where the microwaves, toasters and pressure cookers are sold.
Air fryers were low on the shelve, stacked up one on top of each other to create a sort of unstable pile of boxes that may be made difficult for you as the customer to pop a box in your trolley.
While this happened at my own store, you might be able to pick up a box in a better location on the shelves. Be warned though as you don't want to risk dropping your box on the floor.
Tesco do sell air fryers in my store but there's no guarantee it would be in your local.
Buy in superstores only
To be honest, for what I can tell, Tesco only sell a select few air fryers in-store within their superstores only.
I would say this is a fair assumption only as I've only seen air fryers in bigger Tesco stores on my journeys, including my local Tesco superstore a five minute walk away.
Options could be Tesco Express, Extra or Metro, but these stores are so small I don't see the benefit of stocking them when most people go to superstores or appliance stores to buy new kitchenware - for example an air fryer replacement.
And on top of that people know superstores of well known British supermarkets only stock major appliances for around the house.
Its therefore important than to only seek out an air fryer in your local Tesco supermarket only - but to save you a trip be sure to call Tesco up to ask in advance.
Fewer than three models only
Disappointment but not surprised as Tesco only sell fewer than three air fryer models.
Of course the supermarket is just that, so only supply few models as to make room for other, often more important appliances.
And because they sell so few air fryers, you may find it hard to locate them in store, so don't waste any time at all, as you'll benefit by asking for help.
Low in-stock numbers as I can tell as well, so while there were only three types of air fryers in my store - there were only four models left in stock.
One air fryer model was out of stock completely but what I can tell there is fewer than twelve, perhaps sixteen air fryers that can be stocked at one time in any superstore.
More importantly though, what brand of air fryers do Tesco make available to you?
Air fryer models sold in-store
Of the three air fryer models in my store, two of the TOWER air fryers were the manual kind, so Tesco do sell only the one digital air fryer in-store.
Exact models in stock at the time are three types of Tower Vortex; available are two models in 4.3 litres with just the one in 2.2 litres.
At least Tesco then have gone through the trouble of sourcing air fryers from a reputable brand, rather than using a generic brand or their own.
You can then be glad to know you should be in good hands with a Tower air fryer.
However, to buy the digital option may be few and far between, as its sure to sell out more even with its higher price.
While manual air fryers are dependable, digital air fryers are people's favourite in what is seen as outdated manuals.
Cost of in-stock air fryers
Well, its Tesco so don't expect to pay too much as Tesco only sell appliances well below the £100.00 mark.
Costs associated with their air fryer range then would be in the region of £35.00 to £39.00 for their manual air fryers - or a pricier £69.00 for their digital air fryer.
I will say at the time of visiting my Tesco in-store, both manual air fryers were going for a £10.00 discount.
I do expect this sort of pricing to crop up once in a while so it may be worth waiting until then.
How Tesco prices compare with the market is cheaper air fryers than the top end, but I would say are probably on par price wise with identical models sold elsewhere - be it online, specialty appliance stores or rival supermarkets.
No guarantee of availability
Unfortunately, its a cat and mouse game with Tesco because they can't guarantee availability, so its a hit or miss.
When I visited my store there were only four air fryers left in stock, out of a possible sixteen. And on top of that, weeks later the same boxes were still there, with no new air fryers in stock.
So what I could tell, the same air fryers remained on the shelves all this time.
I could be then, selling air fryers in a supermarket is not where people go to buy an air fryer for the home. So maybe air fryers only sell in Tesco when people need a cheaper option only, or pick one up out of curiosity.
I would call ahead of a visit to Tesco with the intention of buying an air fryer, as the customer service person could check stock levels for you in their store.
To summarise
Depending on Tesco store, its my guess Tesco do sell a small range of air fryers in their superstores only.
Focusing more on lower end models in the Tower range, while offering customers a choice between a manual or digital air fryer model.
Few air fryers are sure to be in stock but if they go out of stock, it could be a while before seeing air fryers on the shelves again.
To locate the selection made available to you in-store only - as Tesco don't sell air fryers online as far has I can tell - you'll find the range within their home appliance department.
How much you can expect to pay is between £35 and £69 for a manual or digital air fryer.
