Does ASDA sell air fryers

Why waste a trip to Asda when you can find out if air fryers are sold at your nearest store, with the odds being vary high due to the high demand at this time.

Good news, Asda sell a wide range of air fryers with up to seven models available in my nearest store. Asda has ensured prices vary between cheap and expensive, while providing a fair split between digital and manual air fryers. While you can buy in-store, Asda sell over 40 air fryer models online.

With a visit into town today I quickly stopped by in at Asda for a snack, remembering I needed to find out if they do sell air fryers, and if so; what does the range look like; at what cost to the customer.

I wasn't surprised to find air fryers in Asda but I was taken back with several air fryers available to buy, with well stocked shelves.

Of the dozen air fryers available, I found only six or seven to be what I would call a classic air fryer, which contains a basket; rather than being a multi-functional appliance which so happens to have air fryer function.

Brand selection was pretty good for a UK supermarket with some of the best air fryer brands available, including Tower and Ninja - and a less known Scoville. When it comes to the competition like the Tesco air fryer range, Asda are so far ahead with all major supermarkets, in both selection and price range.

Certainly Asda offer enough air fryers to provide customers a price choice, including low end manual air fryers to expensive digital air fryers, featuring a larger capacity.

Would I buy any one of Asda's offerings knowing what I know now about air fryers? Well, to be honest I wouldn't.

I didn't find their selection to be all that impressive as none in fact satisfy any of my needs when looking for an air fryer upgrade, with capacity lacking on this shopping trip.

I would also say Asda failed to supply one air fryer featuring a basket, where their range relies entirely on a crisper plate which I hate.

Of all options I would say the one that may be worth buying would be the Scoville 4.3 Litre Air Fryer amazingly enough. It isn't a recognisable brand but at least the capacity it near my 5.5 litre I like most - plus the price is good with the digital control.

Several air fryers found in-store

I've taken note of all available 'traditional' air fryers sold in my nearest Asda in Hereford, Herefordshire - which is all what was sold on the day, 10th July 2023. Bear in mind air fryer selection and prices are sure to change in due course.

Asda it seems are big fans of Tower - which I believe is a British brand - which is why you'll find a wider selection of Tower air fryers. And this is followed by a distance second with Ninja, and the only Scoville air fryer sold, which I think is one of the better models.

Little detail is made available with the product names being similar, with only the litre providing you a way to distinguish one air fryer model from the next.

Asda are selling air fryers with both manual and digital controls while favouring one or two more digital air fryers.

I believe this will provide customers of Asda a wide price range with the lowest at £39.99 for a manual; along with the most expensive model at £179.99, for a digital.

Do rethink about buying the Ninja 3.7 litre air fryer listed, as it reminds me of my old Ninja Max AF160UK air fryer which wasn't a great air fryer at all.

Dozens more on Asda online

Asda, unlike rival supermarkets, are well stocked in-store for air fryers but what you may of not considered thus far, is shopping at Asda online.

Visit Asda's online store to browse over 40 air fryers models which includes well known brands and far more less known brands.

Most ain't available to buy in-store while many others are sold exclusively at Asda; as oppose to not being available in other Asda stores across the country.

I've seen what Asda have available in my local store and to be honest it doesn't fill me with much confidence. No air fryer available in-store featured a 5.5 litre capacity, or thereabouts - nor can I find one that uses a traditional basket rather than just a crisper plate - which I wouldn't recommend you buy an air fryer featuring one.

Head over to Asda online and pull up their air fryer range using their 'filter by' feature, which will allow you to shop for air fryers with a capacity around 4.7 litre's or above.

How Asda prices compare

I can tell you now without messing you about, Asda's price range does match their prices online; with the exception of a single air fryer bought in-store costing an extra £5.00 more when compared to the exact model sold online.

Regardless, this isn't important right now because I found something else more troubling.

Some of Asda's air fryer pricing appears to cost more than other places to buy online elsewhere, including Sonic Direct who sell a matching air fryer for £9.95 less - and while that is all I found out for now, it could be far worse, and it is.

When the matching air fryer is sold and available on Amazon - and not all of them are - Amazon sell it far below Asda's price point.

Good news is Asda does beat off certain competition when more independent stores, none of which you probably have heard of.

Availability / range will vary

I must remind you, while I am sure Asda do their very best to continue to sell a range of air fryers across all their stores, its certain air fryer models will vary between store while the pricing will probably stay the same.

So whilst I took note of all air fryers sold along with their prices on the day, I could find my local Asda may of had a new batch of air fryers in later in the week.

By experience, and when it comes to Tesco, I have them to sell the same Tower manual air fryer for the last couple of years.

I think a city like mine will provide a wider range of cheaper models while a big city like London and Liverpool; Asda I am sure will keep stock of their more expensive air fryers, making sure they're prominent on their shelves.

Don't take much notice into this though because at least you do now know Asda do sell air fryers, and will I'm sure they only supply up-to-date modern air fryers.

Summarise

To be honest this is something I've been curious myself which is why I popped into my local Asda to find out for myself.

I can confirm Asda not only sell air fryers, but this growing in popularity kitchen appliance dominates their electrical appliance range.

More so, Asda provide customers a choice of air fryers with a wide capacity selection - which is measured in litres - and pricing which is sure to match your budget.

I wouldn't of bought either one myself because I know what I like most about air fryers, none of which tick any boxes. Although I do understand buying a small basic manual air fryer may be just what you need at this time.

Don't rush into Asda at this time mind because they sell plenty more on their online store.

Price difference between in-store and online prices don't change really - with the exception of one air fryer costing more in-store - while at the same time I've found eBay and Amazon to beat Asda on prices on a few occasions.

Do bear in mind Asda won't be able to sell the exact same model across all their stores, so availability will vary across the country.
